Lloysha Simon scored a hat-trick to lead Mason Hall to a commanding 7-0 beating of host Speyside when matches in the Tobago Zone of the BGTT/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League Girls Championship Division continued on Sunday.
Celene Lorraine added a pair of goals while Britney Hamilton and Jelese Alexander added one each in the one-sided contest for their first win in two matches, to join Scarborough Secondary on six points.
However, while Scarborough has played two matches, Mason Hall has played three.
Signal Hill was also in winner’s row for the first time in two matches, via 1-0 defeat of Bishop’s High thanks to a Shevica Persaud item.
Down South, Pt Fortin East and Fyzabad maintained their perfect records with lopsided wins over St Joseph Convent, San Fernando and San Fernando East respectively, their third each.
However, Pt Fortin East which clobbered St Joseph Convent (San Fernando) 9-1 leads on goal-difference from Fyzabad, 7-0 victors against San Fernando East.
In the North Zone, Diego Martin Central opened a three-lead at the top with a 4-0 spanking of Providence Girls.
The win lifted Diego Martin Central to ten points from four matches, three ahead of St Francois which was held to a 1-1 draw by Success/Laventille.
Bishop’s Anstey won 1-0 over St Joseph's Convent (PoS) in the other zonal match with Leah Dos Santos the scorer to join its opponent of six points.
And in the East Zone, Bishop Anstey East pushed four points clear of San Juan North after trouncing the latter 5-0 to improve to seven points from three matches. The quest for zonal honors will resume tomorrow from 3.45pm.
