Every Christmas there is chaos and gridlock on the streets of midtown Chaguanas. This is caused mainly by the blockage of the roadway by the “don’t care damn” attitude of roadside vendors who, in the majority, do not reside in the Borough of Chaguanas.
Patrons, commuters, visitors and residents must be allowed to have struggle-free access to the pavement.
The blame for this yearly chaos rests clearly on the shoulders of the police service. They charge motorists for moving too slowly or when they take too long to take up elderly commuters.
I say give vendors a ticket too when they block the roadway. Bring some law and order to our streets.
This perennial problem must stop. Police, do your work.
