The wrecker was working tirelessly these past Sundays, happily wrecking cars on Maracas Beach in areas free from “no parking” signs.
The Maracas Redesign and Restoration Project has catered in no way for interim parking and looks like a shanty town. With the current car park full to capacity, where are beach goers supposed to safely park their vehicles? In the polluted river? On Las Cuevas Beach? Nope, no parking there either.
Beachgoers are not the only ones who suffer. One vendor (whose stall has been blocked off by galvanize to accommodate the construction works) commented on the loss of business she has experienced. Is Tidco accountable for this fiasco?
After having to scramble on a sunday to find $500 to reclaim your wrecked vehicle, who has money for refreshments in any case? The wrecker is ruining the reputation of this beach! Parking on Maracas and Las Cuevas is in short supply and our Government has a duty to provide interim facilities instead of tormenting vulnerable citizens.
On behalf of all respectful patriots, we request the Tourism Development Company to provide and notify the public of suitable parking arrangements and to address the concerns of our vendors who are in fact tourism ambassadors.
Otherwise, we call on Tidco to close the entire facility rather than dupe happy families into having their sundays wrecked!
