Things heat up in Barbados from November 19 to 22 with the 2015 Food and Wine and Rum festival. Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc presents a delicious affair serving up cuisine by celebrity chefs Marcus Samuelsson, Carla Hall and other international celebrity chefs, as well as some of Barbados’ culinary masters and mixologists, a release said.
This year, patrons are invited to take in a mouth-watering menu of all new events: starting with Oistins Coastal Blend, featuring Samuelsson. Ethiopian-born Samuelsson is the owner Harlem staple Red Rooster and returns to Barbados for yet another year. He is one of the judges on Food Network’s Chopped and is a supporter of several charities promoting sustainable planting across New York.
The second course is An Evening Reserve at Fusion Rooftop, where one can drink in Barbados’ platinum coast. Taste the Spirits of Polo spices things up with high-spirited action and a sampling of aged spirits. The Barbados Food and Wine Festival festival climaxes with a Gourmet Safari & After Party followed by a Feast in the Sun, an all-inclusive beach party.
