MovieTowne recently introduced a pioneering cinema innovation to T&T. The VIP Platinum Cinema and Lounge is an ultra-modern, state-of-the-art venue that offers the next level of cinematic entertainment to movie- goers with discerning tastes.
In this its 13th year of operations, the franchise developers of MovieTowne decided to convert one of the spaces at their flagship entertainment and shopping complex at Invaders’ Bay, Port of Spain, into an elegant VIP Platinum Cinema and Lounge.
It offers a restaurant atmosphere, where guests can dine and mingle with cocktails before or after the movie. There is an enhanced, specialty food menu with distinctive appetizers, classic entrées, delectable desserts and specialty coffees. There is also a full bar with an exclusive wine list and specialty cocktails.
While the lounge caters to VIPs, there is no cover charge to enter and use the facility.
The VIP Platinum Cinema is the first in the country to offer luxurious leather reclining chairs with reserved seating, complimentary blankets and specialty service. It’s an exclusive, cozy and elegant cinema separate from the hustle and bustle of the regular cinemas, where luxury and comfort is tantamount to this first class movie experience.
Guests can relax in style while enjoying premium food and beverages and exceptional customer service. Patrons can also purchase the traditional movie snacks featuring popcorn, drinks and enjoy free refills. MovieTowne rolled out the red carpet for the media with a cocktail reception in the VIP Lounge.
Guests were invited to sample some of the gourmet food items and enjoy signature Hollywood movie-themed cocktails. This new venue has been specially designed for corporate rentals and private parties, offering a unique combination of restaurant dining, cocktail style receptions and large screen entertainment.
After a ribbon cutting ceremony, the guests were invited to visit the VIP Platinum Cinema to view the latest blockbuster film – Deadpool where they were presented with complimentary VIP blankets and popcorn combos to enjoy the full VIP Platinum exclusive premium experience.
