If I were still in the classroom, Wayne Kublalsingh’s essay, entitled The ethnic of Carnival, published in Saturday’s Guardian, would be required reading.
And because it is such a gem of an article, a literary smorgasbord, literally, for enterprising teachers, I am suggesting that teachers of English language, literature, history, anthropology, political science, art, music, drama, dance even science and mathematics, expose their students to a thoughtful, well-written commentary on a topic which has generated so many negative comments in the past weeks.
Thank you, Dr Kublalsingh.
I am glad that you survived to continue making your insightful and meaningful inputs.
