The Ethnic Jazz Club presents two distinct salon concerts for Carnival 2016 on January 29 and 31 at The Jazz Studio, 51 Cornelio Street, Woodbrook.

The first will feature Duvonne Stewart, a leader in the new wave of steelband arrangers. Stewart’s fresh consideration of soca arrangements for Panorama was most recently epitomised in his arrangement of Machel Montano’s Like A Boss for BP Renegades.

A release said at the studio he will display his improvisational skills on innovative arrangements of soca material backed by members of The kaiSoca Project.

The second presentation will be a repeat presentation of the Bim suite; five pieces from Andre Tanker’s sound track from the movie Bim arranged by Chantal Esdelle and performed by Douglas Redon, Natasha Joseph, Tamba Gwindi, and Chantal Esdelle. There will be two shows each evening. Admission is $100.
