After being put to the test in its opening match of the Retro Division in the All Sectors Netball League, Bermudez eased past Les Enfants, 29-18, to earn its second win of the competition on Monday evening at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sports Arena in Tacarigua.
This time it was over Les Enfants, which suffered its first loss of the season, having beaten Harlem (32-13) in its opener.
Shooters Althea McCollin and Sharda Thomas stepped up to score 15 and 14 goals respectively, from 21 tries each.
Their efforts helped Bermudez remain in charge throughout the encounter, leading 8-3 at the end of the first period, 15-8 at the half and pushing ahead by 15 goals (25-10) in the third session.
Les Enfants, however, did give some fight in the final stanza outscoring its opponent, 8-4 but it was too late as Bermudez had established its dominance.
Goal-attack Michelle Hutchins stood out among the Bermudez shooters, netting 14 from 24 attempts.
Earlier, TSTT did not slip up this time and were rewarded with a comfortable 32-14 victory over Harlem.
Last Monday, TSTT was in a good position to claim a win in its opening match against Bermudez but too many turnovers late in the affair, caused them to fall to a narrow one-goal (20-19) loss.
Playing without its inspirational leader Grace Parkinson, who suffered an ankle injury in that match, TSTT as in its previous clash led throughout, thanks to the contribution of goal-attack Debra Alie as she poured in a match-high 26 off 41.
Her teammates Olivia Le Platte and Camille Aubin, who shared the goal-shooter bid, added four off eight and two from four, respectively.
All four teams will be back in action again on Monday with Bermudez going for its third straight win against Harlem and Les Enfants challenging TSTT.
