All five T&T junior golfers led by Liam Bryden improved on their first round scores at the Doral Publix Junior Golf Championships in Miami, Florida, on Tuesday.

Bryden competing in the boys 16-18 division shot a great round of 75 to go with his first day score of 79 on the Doral Blue Monster and now lies in fourth place.

Bryden is six strokes behind the leader.

Ysabelle Lawrence competing in the girls 16-18 division on the Red Tiger course followed up with her score of 84 in round one to shoot an 82 in round two.

Lawrence had three bad holes where she struggled to get out of the tough bunkers and is now in 31st position.

In the girls 14-15 division, Serena Mackenzie shot another fighting 87 to lie in 27th position after day two.

Dinesh Jackree did not fare so well in the boys 16-18 division shooting an 85. Jackree shot an 88 on the first day and did not make the cut.

Ryan Peters competing in the boys 14-15 division continued to struggle in the windy conditions on the Doral Gold, shooting an 87 and unfortunately did not make the cut for the top 60 players. Peters shot a disappointing 88 in round one.

Bryden needs to shoot an extremely low round on the final day to take the prestigious title, while Lawrence and Mackenzie are hoping to score a lot better to move up the leader board.
