Four people, including one woman were arrested this morning as Southern Division Police carried out an anti-crime exercise.
Two of the men and the woman were held when police raided a building on Mucurapo Street, San Fernando. One of the men and the woman, both said to be in their late 40’s, were held with a quantity of marijuana while the second man was held with a quantity of cocaine.
It is unclear yet what is the quantity of drugs seized, but the T&T Guardian understands all three will be charged with trafficking as the building is in close proximity to a school.
The fourth person was held when officers swooped down on King Wharfs, San Fernando a short time later.
The man, 55, of Lady Hailes Avenue, was held with a small quantity of marijuana.
The exercise was coordinated by Senior Supt. Irwin Hackhaw and carried out by ASP Ramdeo, Ins Gajadhar, Sgts Ramroop, Teeluck, and Rampersad.
